About Irina Heemann
Irina Heemann has a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design & a Master of Arts in Textile Design (Course of study in D & CH) and she specialises exclusively in knitting. While studying she developed a unique knitting technique that allows the creation of seamless, yet not only circular knitting models. She was nominated for the Swiss Design Award & for the Heinrich Blanc Award for this technique.
Irina Heemann worked for knitting magazines & yarn manufacturers and designed models for a long time. Furthermore, she made knitted costumes for theatres & opera houses for 5 years in D, CH & Austria. In 2016, she founded "Stricken ohne Naht" (Knitting without seams) - an online shop for ecological knitting wool and seamless knitting instructions - and is present on Instagram as @stricken_ohne_naht.
