Ina Lienen started sewing in 2010. At first she only sewed her own clothes and altered clothes she found in second-hand shops. Only later did she start sewing bags. After a short time, she implemented her own ideas and sold the sewn bags and accessories on Dawanda. In 2015, she founded the Mondgöttin DesignManufaktur. As the interest in her cuts, which she used for the bags, grew, she published her first patterns in 2017. In the meantime, there are more than 25 patterns that she offers in her shop. In 2019, she also launched her Youtube channel, which is all about sewing, DIY and upcycling.

Embroidered patches: This is how your clothes become unique, your accessories become unmistakable one-of-a-kind pieces

Louise Lemke

In the workshop, the participants used embroidery needles and embroidery floss to create an individual patch for their clothing or bags. The floral motifs were embroidered onto the base material using a template and then cut into shape. Optionally, the patch could be provided with a safety pin so that it could be pinned directly to clothing.

Weaving in wooden ring: create wall hanging with abstract geometric weaving pattern

Weaving in a wooden ring

"Weaving in a wooden ring": You need a weaving frame to weave? Not at all! This course showed how to weave a geometric pattern in a wooden ring. The participants worked with overlapping surfaces and colour contrasts and easily learned the knotting and weaving technique to create an artistic DIY mural.

The course used bamboo rings and coloured cotton yarn, which were cut and unravelled to create the perfect frame. In addition, the participants received an instruction booklet in which the most important contents of the workshop are recorded.
